Even though the Sheriff's Sharp Shooters Wrestling Club takes as much care as is possible with the wrestling mats (washing them before every practice or meet) the mats are not used solely for wrestling. Sometimes street shoes end up walking across the mat, and carrying dirt and bacteria over the top. Wrestling shoes are to be used for practice, meets, and tournaments ONLY. The boys should wear street shoes to practice and events. The wrestling shoes, the practice clothes and headgear should be washed after each and every practice, meet, or tournament. The gym bag that the boys use to carry their gear should also be washed as needed. It is also recommended that you open your gym bag and let it air out at night. Headgear is worn in practice, tournaments, and meets and should be treated as your other equipment. Wash the headgear in warm in the washing machine or in the dishwasher. Wash the singlet and warm up in cold water, and hang dry. READ BEFORE LAUNDERING WARM-UPS Congratulations! We have purchased the BEST Nylon warm-up available. The fabric content is 100% Nylon. To maximize the life of our garment, as with all synthetic fabrics, please use the following cleaning instructions: MACHINE WASH SEPARATELY IN COOL WATER ON GENTLE CYCLE. DO NOT USE HOT. DO NOT USE BLEACH. HANG DRY. DO NOT PLACE IN HOT DRYER. Following the above directions will give our garments the long life they deserve. Bleach, hot water and/or a hot dryer is our warm-ups worst enemy! SINGLET'S WASHING: Garments should be washed in warm water. Cold or hot water can cause color bleeding especially in polyester trims and lycra. Use mild detergent. Non-phosphorous. Phosphate can cause bleeding in polyesters and lycra. Do not wash and colored garments together. Do not use coloring bleach. Bleach will fade colors and weaken fabric. Rinse water should not vary more than a few degrees from wash water. Remove garments form washer immediately upon completion and HANG TO DRIP-DRY. Heavy soiled garments should be soaked in warm water to prevent stains from setting. Wash garments immediately after soaking. DRYING: GARMENTS SHOULD BE HUNG TO DRIP-DRY. Heat from clothes dryers will cause the screen printing to soften, stick to itself or another garment and come off prematurely. DO NOT DRY CLEAN STORING: Store in a cool dry area, protect from sunlight and fluorescent light to prevent mildew and yellowing. |
